Paul Humann is Author/Photographer of fifteen marine life ID (including the popular Reef Identification Series) and behavior guides. Humann has more than 40 years experience traveling and photographing worldwide, primarily underwater. Paul started diving and took his first underwater pictures in the early 60’s. By the late 60’s several of his fish portraits were featured in Skin Diver’s memorable “Fish of the Month” series and he became one of PADI’s early Instructors #2222. In 1972 he pioneered today’s live-aboard diving craze by becoming captain/owner of the M/V Cayman Diver, the Caribbean’s first live-aboard dive cruiser. His work has appeared in countless magazines including Skin Diver, Sport Diver, Rodale’s Scuba Diving, National Geographic, Audubon, Natural History, National Wildlife, and Ranger Rick. An ABC Sport’s hour special featured Paul as he introduced Peter Benchely to the wondrous marine life of Galapagos. His focus now is adding to his topside European stock -- specializing in antiquities.

DeLoach currently writes "Encounters" for Scuba Diving Magazine and occasionally writes for Sport Diver and Fathoms. When not traveling the world diving, Ned works at his home in Jacksonville, Florida, wishing that he were traveling the world diving.
